Most frequently asked questions:
Q: How often do these process adventures take place and when? Can I watch later?
They start at around 12-1pm PST every Friday and often run over to Saturday morning. They are always saved as a story highlight which you can watch anytime.
Q: What tools do you use?
PROGRAM: Photoshop CC ($10/month billed yearly on the Photography plan) alternatives include Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, Krita, and many more.
TABLET/PEN DISPLAY: Wacom Cintiq 24 Pro (Alternatives include the iPad, Surface Pro tablet, smaller and more affordable Wacom tablets like the Wacom One, Huion pen displays, XP-Pen’s pro line of pen displays, etc.
COMPUTER: A custom built PC designed to handle large files. You can view the specs here: CLICK
OTHER SOFTWARES: I use a Photoshop Plugin called Perspective Tools v2 for perspective: CLICK
I sometimes use SketchUp (Free) for 3D lay-ins: CLICK
Q: What size canvas do you paint on?
I like to paint very large; about 15,000px tall. This is overkill for most people, and in fact may make many computers and devices run very slowly, unusably so. I recommend working at whatever size feels appropriate for your needs over 2000px on the long side. My computer is built to handle large files because I know I like to work this way.
Q: What brushes do you use?
The grainy, watercolor-textured color-jitter brush I use to fill in most of my colors is from Kyle T Webster’s impressionist brush pack for Photoshop. Any splotchy brush with color dynamics enabled will function the same way! I use the Kyle T. Webster megapack & brushsets for most of my paintings. They come free with Photoshop CC subscriptions and are exclusive to Photoshop. There are many comparable brushsets for both of the major rivals, Procreate and Clip Studio Paint! I recommend asking someone who works more often in those programs for their recommendations.

Q: Can I explore your PSD files?
Yes, you can download them by clicking HERE!
Q: How do you get your uploads to look good on Instagram?
I resize my paintings to 2000 px tall using bilinear resampling & email them to myself. This works perfectly for all social media platforms I post on!
Q: What’s your advice for a beginner?
Here’s all my best advice for a beginner!
Be kind to yourself, and don’t compare yourself to others. Everyone learns at a different speed; there is no speed at which you “should” be learning. Take lots of breaks. Take care of your body; stretch regularly and go for walks if you can to counteract sitting in the same position.
There is SO much information on YouTube for free. When you have a question about how a tool works in your drawing program, try looking it up on YouTube; 99% of the time, someone has created a video tutorial covering it! Once you exhaust YouTube, another great place to look is Gumroad if you have a couple dollars to spare. You can pick up awesome tutorials on Gumroad (and the ArtStation marketplace) for a relatively low cost!
